The project involves creating stylized 3D island models for the game Project Aquila, developed in the Unity engine. The goal was to design and implement diverse islands, considering topography and vegetation. The models were optimized for performance, ensuring high visual quality while maintaining smooth gameplay. Among other techniques, 3D baking was used to improve lighting and texture efficiency, enhancing the overall visual fidelity without increasing computational load.
These models represent larger in-game locations, ensuring aesthetic consistency and seamless functional integration within the game environment.
This project, which integrated 3D modelling, game graphics optimization, and gameplay mechanics in Unity, was completed as part of an engineering thesis at Lublin University of Technology.
